Transplant is a series created by Siobhan Feehan in collaboration with Los Angeles based collective Concord. Concord's project, P.S. 1010 is a mobile laboratory for researching art, social spaces and education. Feehan created temporary planters for seeds and plants for their show at Good Children Gallery. Some of the plants are native to both California and Los Angeles, some are house plants, some are weeds. Transplant quotes a different writer or researcher from Concord's mobile archive. The work functions as an example of how we use information as either disposable or worth cultivating. The survival of these plants requires the direct involvment of the art community to support the idea as well as the species.
