Drift Army consists of multiple works and a performance. Wind Flag is a collection of aimless symbols: a cluster of dandelions, a circle of hitchhikers thumbs, a few wind systems and the Ancient Greek name for the four winds, "Anemoi". Terrain Pins are dimensionally parallel to Military Ranking pins, on nickel and acrylic enamel. The five pins are designed to represent the colors and shapes of five primary terrestrial landscapes: the sea, desert, forests, mountains and roadways. To celebrate the commencement of the two works together, a flag raising ceremony was performed in the desert of Marfa, TX at sun up and sunset while an audience whistled "The Wind" by Cat Stevens.
